A modern approach to Italian cuisine in San Francisco’s historic Fillmore district
The Tailor’s Son is a Northern Italian restaurant with an emphasis on quality ingredients and precision cooking. Every meal is stitched with memory. Chef Adriano Paganini grew up near Milan in a family of tailors, where his mother’s cooking was as carefully crafted as the garments in their shop. Today, our menu draws from those simple, soulful meals—each dish prepared with the same care, precision, and devotion to detail that defined his family’s legacy.
With the same devotion, Whitlatch Cellars crafted the house wine for The Tailor’s Son. It is a premium Pinot Noir from the Paganini Vineyard in Sonoma County, available only at the restaurant!
The grapes were harvested by hand in the early morning the first week of September. At the winery, the fruit was destemmed, hand sorted, and fermented in a stainless steel tank for two weeks before being caved aged in approximately 20% new French oak barrels. The wine is bright with red fruit aromas and focused acidity, making it versatile for multiple food pairings.
